Owen competed today in the Regional Brain Bowl with 4 friends from Stargate School. Out of twenty teams, Stargate 6C battled their Saturday away. In the end, they won the North Region!!  Headed to Colorado State Brain Bowl on February 23rd.

Ryan, Owen and Luke in Plaza de Colon in Old San Juan.  We wandered down in the evening of our first day to get a bite to eat - took the bus down and a taxi back.

Lots to do on the beach - Hobie cats, para-sailing, jet skis - but with the boys, all we need are waves!

The boys started out a little low key - building sand castles - but that didn't last long

Vacation in Puerto Rico

Arrived late on Saturday and got a little time to play on the Beach, but Sunday was our first real day to enjoy Isla Verde - a wide open swath of beach lined with palms and hotels to the east of San Juan

All that water play was pretty exhausting.

The water park is really well suited for little ones Owen and Luke's age.  They have mini water slides and mini lazy rivers that are so accessible to tiny people

We went to Legoland on Monday - they have a water park there where we spent most of the day.

On day 2, we went to the Birch Aquarium - part of the Scripps Institute of Oceanography at UC San Diego.  It is a beautiful museum on a hilltop overlooking La Jolla Shores beach.  The grey whale fountain out front is beautiful
